Pamukkale Thermal Pools

Pamukkale, which translates to Cotton Castle in Turkish, is one of those places that looks too surreal to be real. The white travertine terraces cascade down the hillside like frozen waterfalls, filled with warm mineral-rich thermal water that people have been bathing in for thousands of years.

This tour takes you through both the natural wonder and the ancient city of Hierapolis that sits at the top. Your guide will walk you through the Roman bath ruins, the necropolis, and the ancient theatre before giving you free time to wade through the terraces yourself.

You also get the option to swim in Cleopatra's Pool, an ancient thermal pool filled with submerged Roman columns. It costs a small additional fee but it is absolutely worth it.
